Week 4

I'm officially in México!!

This week was so good and so spiritual, I feel like I learned a lot about the scriptures and I look forward to reading them every day! I left on Tuesday to the México MTC and it was so hard and sad to say see you later to my family but it has been so much fun to meet my district and get to know them all! They are all so amazing and we have so much fun together! I also loveee my companion Hermana Robertson! She is so positive and always knows how to make my day better :)

I don't even remember what I've been doing this past week because it has been the longest but also the fastest week of my life. We had a Seventy, Elder Marcus B Nash, come to the CCM and he gave us a devotional and it was so amazing! But funny story, me and my district were all at lunch and the MTC president's wife, Hermana Kirkham, came up to us and asked our district if we would sing in a devotional that Elder Marcus B Nash would be speaking at. It was honestly so fun and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet him and sing for him, and if you know me, you know I can't sing lol but it was a great experience.

Everyday we spend about 7 or so hours learning spanish, and let me tell you it's a lot to take in but I feel like I will get the hang of it, eventually…

I got called to be a language leader for my district, not sure what that means haha. But yesterday we did an english fast. So we stopped speaking english and tried to only speak spanish for 24 hours and let me tell you it didn't go so well haha our district only lasted about 2 hours haha!

We got to go to the Mexico City temple! It was about an hour drive each way. It was so pretty and so much fun! I'm so grateful that I live so close to a temple and that we are surrounded by so many temples. I love the temple!

Spiritual thought
3rd Nephi 17
I read this chapter a few days ago and verse 20 stood out to me. ”Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy is full.” All Jesus Christ wants is for us to be happy. We are blessed with joy when we have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.  I continued to read into chapter 18. Verse 16 & 24 “behold I am the light; I have set an example for you” then in verse 24 “therefore hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up” we need to follow Jesus Christ's example. We all need to share the light of Jesus Christ with EVERYONE we meet!! Jesus Christ is the ultimate example! It is truly a message of pure happiness! I am so PUMPED to share His light with everyone I meet in the Dominican Republic in just a short 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Talk to you all next week!
