Week 5

Hey everyone! This week went by in the BLINK of an eye!

I got my flight plans! I leave for the DR in 12 days!!! I fly out Monday afternoon and have a layover in Florida then I head to the DR! I am seriously so excited to get there and start what I came here to do!

The Spanish was rough until about Sunday but I feel like I'm actually starting to grasp it, un poco!!! It’s hard but I know as I rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ, He will guide me!

I'm not even sure what we did this week because it went by SO fast! but….

Lots of studying! I've been loving studying! It's for sure been the highlight of my day, everyday! I love reading the scriptures. Before the mission I struggled to interpret the scriptures but lately it just all makes sense!

I learned I REALLY like volleyball! It's been so much fun playing during our workout time! during our pday today we played a lot of kickball and volleyball with our district and another district!  it was so fun!

It was Thanksgiving and at the comedor they made us a Thanksgiving dinner, it actually wasn't that bad haha! It definitely wasn't even close to as good at home but it was so nice of the workers to think about us!

We had a testimony meeting in our district and it was so awesome! Hearing others' testimonies really helps strengthen mine and I know we should all share ours more often.  Sometimes your simple and sweet testimony can help answer someone else's questions!

spiritual thought!
We had a devotional and it was one of Elder David A. Bednar's talks. It was about how the natural man would turn in and be selfish but we need to turn our arms outward like Jesus Christ and think of others first in any situation. Jesus Christ never thought of himself. After Jesus suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, soldiers came to take Jesus to the cross. One of Jesus's Apostles cut off one of the soldier's ears. Jesus Christ healed this man's ear, who would do that? Jesus Christ would, because He always turned outward to help everyone, because he loves everyone. I loved this example SO MUCH! It helped me gain a new perspective! I know as a servant of Jesus Christ I need to hold my arms outward and think of others first!

Have a great week everyone! I love you all and would love to hear from you!!
