Week 6

LAST WEEK AT THE CCM!!!!



I have absolutely LOVED my time here at the CCM!!!! I love the people I have met, the spirit I have felt, the speakers we have heard and most importantly the love I have felt from my Heavenly Father! I know he loves each of us so much and knows each of us by name! His love for us is stronger than we can even comprehend!!!



As much as I have loved it here in the CCM, I am so excited to head to the DR and start sharing the thing most important to me! I already love the people so much and I CANNOT WAIT to meet all of them!!!!



Elder M Russle Ballard and Elder Gary Stevenson are coming to the CCM this week and we get to hear from them on friday!!! I'm so excited to hear from them!!! BUTTT this is the coolest part, the CCM President and his wife wanted a choir of 75 missionaries to sing for the apostles. There are about 800 missionaries to pick from and I am so blessed and so lucky because my companion and I have the opportunity to sing for them!!! 



We had the opportunity to go to the temple today and it was the most spiritual temple experience I've ever had! I wish I could stay there forever!! I'm so grateful that I was able to go twice in México!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!!!!

not going to lie, this past week has been so scary and i have been so nervous about leaving. but we went to the temple today and i have never felt so much peace and love in my heart. I know this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing and I know I have angels by my side comforting and protecting me at all times! 

go to the temple this week!!



Also, we were studying baptism in class yesterday. We are baptized so we can be cleansed of our sins. we are spiritually reborn. and we read this scripture

2 Nephi 31: 7-9

7: Know ye not that he was holy? But notwithstanding he being holy, he showeth unto the children of men that, according to the flesh he humbleth himself before the Father, and witnesseth unto the Father that he would be obedient unto him in keeping his commandments.

8: Wherefore, after he was baptized with water the Holy Ghost descended upon him in the form of a dove.

9: And again, it showeth unto the children of men the straightness of the path, and the narrowness of the gate, by which they should enter, he having set the example before them.



Jesus Christ was perfect right? He had no sins? but He was still baptized. He was baptized because He is an example for us. I love this! We should all follow Jesus Christ's example in everything that we do.

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Hola hola cómo están? Hey hey how's everyone doing? I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much! This week was so speedy!  And not anything really special happened. It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible. But I saw a few wonderful miracles. Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does.  We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
