Week 16

Holaaaa 
This was a good work week!!! We taught tonssss of lessons and met lots of new friends!!!! 


On Friday it pourrred alllll dayyyy longggg and that day we went to a neighborhood called Los Solares, and it's dirt roads! Every five minutes we had to take a break and scrape off the five pounds of mud our shoes picked up hahaha but I loved every second of it. While we were in Los Solares, we went to teach our friend Berny. He's been being taught for a whole year and struggles to keep commitments and never has come to church, but he has a different light about him and always wants to learn! Well this weekend the biggest MIRACLES happened, on Friday he told us he read the Book of Mormon and gave us a summary about what he read!!!!! We invited him to church on Sunday like we always do. THENNNN on Sunday morning on our way to church, we saw Berny and his friend Jesus walking to church! I've never been so happy or proud of a teenage boy in my whole life!!! so SHOUTOUT TO BERNY FOR BEING SO AWESOME!!!!!!!! 


The elders we share an area with had a baptism so we went and I made a cake, but we didn't have any ingredients to make a cake so I just threw some random ingredients together, threw it in the oven and hoped for the best. It turned out seriously sooo good hahaha everyone loved it, one guy even asked if he could lick the pan

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Hola hola cómo están? Hey hey how's everyone doing? I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much! This week was so speedy!  And not anything really special happened. It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible. But I saw a few wonderful miracles. Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does.  We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
