Week 17

HOLAAA WEEK 16!!!!!
It was a good week!!! 


We had zone conference, and it was my first one! it was way fun getting to see everyone and get to know everyone better! I had to give the spiritual thought and it was terrifying but it went good!!!


HIGHLIGHT OF MY WEEK
We taught our friends, Berny, Milton, and Jesùs and they bought us flowers, I actually melted inside, SO ADORABLE!!! 


Our cute friends, Juan Carlos and Juan Javier, they are brothers and are 12 and 13. They were supposed to get baptized on Saturday but it ended up not working out the way we planned, so we have it planned for this Thursday. It was really disappointing,  but I'm learning to have patience and respect peoples agency:) Everybody pray that it will work out this week!!!!!


At church this week 12 of our friends came!!!! God is so good!!!!


Update on the spanish...
I feel like I'm understanding more and more everyday! Speaking is hard because I know I make 26384013 mistakes everytime I speak but I know the spirit carries my message to the hearts of the people!!

Moroni 7:45 
"And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."
I love the first line of this scripture, "and charity suffereth long and is kind"
Sometimes we may not agree with other people's opinions and may not get along with everyone, but we can be patient and kind and accept the choices and differences of others just as Christ would :))

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Hola hola cómo están? Hey hey how's everyone doing? I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much! This week was so speedy!  And not anything really special happened. It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible. But I saw a few wonderful miracles. Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does.  We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
