Week 21
Holaaa everyone! How's it going?? I hope you are all doing AMAZING!
This week was a really good week!
I went on 2 exchanges because my companion is an Hermana Leader, so she goes on an exchange at least once a week, that means I do too!!
Both times I was put with brand new missionaries who got here a week ago, which means they speak no spanish so basically I was in charge and had to do all the lessons alone and talk to everyone. It was a great learning experience and I know more spanish than I thought I did! But that was horrifying but it was a great chance for me to grow
First things first
IT'S SO HOT HERE! I feel like I'm melting! And the thing is, IT'S ONLY MARCH, it's gonna be sooooo hot this summer I think I'm going to turn into liquid
RAIN
On Wednesday we left the house at about 2 and it started to sprinkle then... it started to pour and carrying an umbrella is WAYY too much work so we just were soaking wet for a few hours. We finally dried and were in our friend Ibibo and Elitenors house and all the sudden it sounded like bowling balls falling from the sky. We ended our lesson and had to walk up the callejone to get to our friend Pauls house. The second we stepped out of Ibibos house the callejone turned into a river we were INSTANTLY soaked, I've never seen so much rain. We had to get to Pauls house so we took a nice, fun, little hike up to Pauls house and when Paul found us yelling "holaaaa" outside his door, soaking wet, laughing our heads off, he thought we were insane hahaha but we ended up having a great lesson with him!!
WE LOVE PAUL!!!
I wish all of you could meet Paul, he's the coolest man I've ever met!
We taught Paul the word of wisdom and he told us he doesn't do drugs or alcohol because he knows that stuff doesn't do any good, but he was like "but I love coffee, I love to dip my bread in it in the morning" We asked him if when he doesn't have coffee if he gets a headache and he was like "obviously" so we explained that it is an addiction but because he doesn't speak much spanish he didn't know the word addiction, but finally it clicked and he was like "OH OKAY! I will quit coffee". We went back the next day and he told us that he told all his friends and his family what we taught him and they are all quiting coffee now! He's so cool!!!
He's on date for April 8th, everyone PLEASE keep Paul and his family in your prayers, they need all the prayers and blessing they can get!!!
WE ARE GOING TO THE TEMPLE THIS WEEK, I'M SO EXCITED
