Week 23
Holaaa!! como están ustedes??
How have I been a missionary for 5 months?
This week was so much fun!
A super super busy week!!
On Monday night we had a member meal at 6:30 then at 8:00 we had a lesson with a less active member and we had some strong ward members come with us! We had to be home at 9:00 for a meeting.
Well, we all know that member meals always go longer than expected. The member meal went until 8:15 then we hustled down to go teach. This lesson was so strange and the less active member wouldn't let us leave hahaha, we said múltiple times that we needed to go and he just kept talking haha. The clock hit 9 and we were like "we're so sorry but we gotta go" so we got up and started running. We were at least a 20 minute walk from our house but with our speedy running skills we got home by 9:07, tu sabes, but let's just say the next day we were both a little sore hahaha.
We had another exchange this week and I got to be with Hermana Streadbeck again! This time we went to her area, Los Reyes! It's in Santiago North and I'm in Santiago South. It's only about 20 minutes away from each other but they are totally different vibes! It was fun to see a new area but I missed my home and all my friends in Bella Vista!!
We had zone conference this week! It was so fun seeing everyone! I actually learned so much and understood so much, it was incredible! Presidente said something that really stuck with me, you guys know the picture of Jesus knocking on the door? Ok so listen, Jesus knocks and invites, He doesn't force the door open. We need to open the door to Him. We need to put in effort to learn and grow! It's up to us to progress and learn in this life!
On Friday I hit 5 months and that's 5 months not listening to bopping music. This is how i know God loves me. We were getting ready for the day and our neighbor started playing Olivia Rodrigo! Biggest miracle hahaha.
APRIL FOOLS HAHA
Hermana Heggie is a prankster and she couldnt skip april fools just because she's a missionary so, we pulled a prank, but on the APs. Ok so we texted them "we have a problem" and they called us 2 second after we texted them. They said "hey Hermanas what's up?" and Hermana Heggie said "ok so after our member meal we decided to take a carrito (a carrito is kinda like a taxi) and Hermana Miller got in first then it drove away" the assistants IMMEDIATELY hung up. Hermana Heggie panicked and couldn't type so she threw me the phone and texted them "Apeiñ fooñs" cause we were texting fast ahaha and they called us back and they said "we already called Presidente and he's on his way to you guys right now, so you wanna tell him it was a prank or do you want us to?" We told them we would call Pres and explain the situation. Then they said "ah april fools" and holy cow they got us good! We were laughing with them on the phone for like 10 minutes hahaha, good times!!
This conference was so special as a missionary! Even though I missed my moms cinnamon rolls, it was still awesome!
I feel like I learned so much and understood deeper what the talks were about. All the talks were centered around Jesus Christ and his atonment for every single one of us individually because He loves us so deeply, individual!
My favorite talk from conference was by Ahmad S. Corbitt. Something I got out of it was applying the Doctorine of Christ personally to my life. It was so good, everyone go listen to it again!!
Also everyone send me your favorite talk from this conference please, I would love to know!!
