Week 25

Hola a todos! 
This week was wilddd


It was the last week of this transfer and it was the fastest 6 weeks of my whole life!! I've had so much fun serving in Bella Vista for the last 18 weeks, serving the most amazing people, with the greatest companions and the most amazing ward!

TRANSFER NEWS!! 
I'm going to Playa Oeste in Puerto Plata! My new comp is Hermana Cebrian and I'm so excited to meet her!! I dont know much about her but she just got out of training and has been serving her whole mission in this area! I'm excited for her to show me around and to meet all the people! 


This week was insane!!!!
We had 2 exchanges! On Tuesday I went to Los Reyes with Hermana Cazier and Hermana Streadbeck and we had so much fun! Then I went straight from there and headed to Bonao! I was with Hermana Brinkerhoff and she showed me around her beautiful area covered in mountains and trees, it was a dreammm and I absolutely loved it!!! Thursday rolls around and I'm finally headed home after being away for 2 days! Exchanges are so much fun, you get to meet some pretty awesome Hermanas and explore new areas and learn so much about teaching in new and different fun ways!!


On Saturday, we went to go teach out cute friends, Jeniflor and Thomas Janaïka! We get to their house and their dad Thomas is there with his friend, they have both lived in New York so they both know english! We are talking to Thomas and his friend and all of a sudden his friend literally attacks me! But with a hug lol, it really took me off guard! but after he attacked me he was like "I'm Lesely!!!!" and I was like "OH MY GOSH LESELY!!!!" We have been teaching him over text for a while because he's never available to share with, so that was crazyyy cool that i got to meet him in person!!! 


Since Thursday we have just spent lots of time teaching and saying bye to friends!! I'm so incredible grateful for all the people I've had the opportunity to meet and for the influince they have had in my life! Bella Vista will always have a special place in my heart! 


SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!
I was studying in 1 Nephi 8 about the tree of life and verse 12 hit me! It's about when Lehi partook of the fruit!


12 And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.


The fruit made Lehi so happy that he wanted to share it with everyone! He wanted to share his joy! 
It made me think about my mission! This gospel makes me so happy and as missionaries we share the thing that brings us the most happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ! I love this gospel so much I don't want to just keep it to myself, I want to share it with everyone I love!! 



I hope you guys all are doing so good and are living it up! It's almost summer wahoo! So so exciting! I love you all SO much and I love to hear from all of you! Keep me updated and send me lots of pictures!! And remember to put God first!!

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Hola hola cómo están? Hey hey how's everyone doing? I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much! This week was so speedy!  And not anything really special happened. It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible. But I saw a few wonderful miracles. Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does.  We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
