Week 29

Heyo heyo a todos!
I can't believe how fast this month is flying by, its crazy!! 
I hope you are all doing so so so good!!
Some highlights from my week!!!


One day, we were walking to teach our amazing friend, Michel. She's incredible and is on date for this Saturday, everyone keep her in your prayers! But listen, on our way to her house, a motor taxi drove past us, and its very normal to be cat called here, but this man on his motor drove past us and looked me right in the eyes and said "I LOVE YOU!!" and was full on chomping his words, I burst into laughter for at least 5 minutes hahaha


Another thing about motors here, there are so many. Our friend Modle, he was in his interview for his baptism and so we waited outside, and while we were waiting we counted 110 motors in 7 minutes, in a neighborhood!! I decided when I get home, I'm going to buy a motorcycle, sorry mom!!!! 🏍🏍


We had zone conference and when I tell you it's the most fun I've ever had, iIm not even kidding. I learned SO much about how we can work more effectively,  teach with the spirit, always rely on God and His plan, and keep grinding every day! But my favorite part was seeing all my missionary friends!!! I love them all so so much with all my heart, IT WAS A BLAST AND A HALF!!!!!!!


Modle, he was supposed to be baptized this Saturday, he passed his interview and we were all ready in the church, font filled, cake made, and member support. The baptism started at 7:30. When he wasn't there we called him and he didn't answer, so we decided to literally run to his house, we get to his house and he's not there, we call him about 40 times and he never answered us. We had to go back to the church and explain to the members what happened, they were all so loving and supportive. I'm still not sure what happened and I'm so disappointed that he wasn't baptized, but I know everything is in Gods timing, I trust Him. But everyone keep Modle in your prayers!!!!


Spiritual thought 
I've been studying the bible during lunch recently and I ran across this verse in
Luke 5:11 "and when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him."
oh my gosh, so short but so powerful and meaningful!! They forsook all and followed him. Jesus is the answer and always will be, if we follow Him and his teachings we will find so much peace and joy!!! I know this is true in my life, Jesus is at the center of my life, and I'm trying everyday to follow His example, and I'm the happiest I've ever been!! Everyone, follow Jesus!!!!


Also shout out to all the amazing moms out there, Happy Mother's day!!! Especially my mom!!! You are all so amazing, keep doing what you're doing, I love you all so much!!!

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Week 46

Hola hola cómo están? Hey hey how's everyone doing? I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much! This week was so speedy!  And not anything really special happened. It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible. But I saw a few wonderful miracles. Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does.  We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
