Week 35

This was last week! Not sure why it didn't send but enjoy!! 


How's it the end of June?? Someone explain it to me please, time is just flying by!


I hope you are all doing great and enjoying the fun summer months! 


This week was so so fast and so much fun and I had so many interesting experiences that I would have never experienced if I wasn't here, so let's get into it!!!


We went to the church on Saturday morning, and we unlock it and walk in and get set up to do some phone calls. About 5 minutes later the alarms start going off, yikes I forgot to turn off the alarm. We walk over to the alarm and I have absolutely no idea what the password is, so we call the elders we share a ward with and they didn't know the password either and they told us the alarm will go off for about 3 more minutes but then it'll just stop and nothing will happen. Well they were right about one part, the alarm stopped. But about 10 minutes later the police and the stake president come rolling in... oops but it's all good, I didn't get put in jail!!


We went to teach one of our little friends, and we get to his house and his mom is violently hitting a kitten with a broom!!! We asked her what she was doing and she told us the kitten stole her food, it was actually really funny, but everyone pray for that poor kitten!


We were just casually walking to our next lesson and a cute street dog decided to pee in the street, and while it was doing it's thing, three other thirsty street dogs came up behind the cute street dog, and yeah I think you've got the point... hahaha ew


We met this cute girl street contact about a week ago, her names Wioleflka and she told us she has met with missionaries before, about a year ago! We went to her house to share about the restoration and I'm not even joking, she taught us the restoration. She remembered everything! It was such a miracle we found her and that we are able to teach her again! vEeryone pray for her!


We have been teaching this lady, her name is stEefany. She's actually so incredible and she wants to be baptised July 15, but she has 4 little kids and lives about a 40 minute walk from the church. She really really really wants to go and experience the joy we feel in church, so everyone keep her in your prayers! 


We had zone conference and good golly was it amazing!!!!!! 
They updated preach my gospel and when I tell you it's incredible, it's INCREDIBLE!!! Like not just missionaries should really it, everyone in the whole world, it's hyped!!!!
But zone conferencia was really really uplifting and President gave us an example about a wheel, the wheel is my mission and when we have anything but Christ at the center of our wheel it will crumble. Christ is our rock that we have to build on and I'm so grateful for Him.


Scripture I love
Mosiah 16: 9
He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death


This whole chapter is amazing but I absolutely love this scripture. This chapter talks about the resurrection. The resurrection is truly the greatest gift that Christ gave to all of us. Because He was resurrected, we can be too. And because of the resurrection we don't need to fear death because we will live again, we will see our families again. Because of Christ all is right and all can be light.

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Hola hola cómo están? Hey hey how's everyone doing? I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much! This week was so speedy!  And not anything really special happened. It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible. But I saw a few wonderful miracles. Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does.  We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
