Week 33

Heyooo 

This week wasn't super interesting, just lots of walking, teaching and sweating!!

Did I mention its hot here, like really hot 

On Friday afternoon, my comp looks at the phone and told me I wasn't going to be happy with what she just saw. 

Well we got a text from bishop asking us to speak this Sunday. Ay mi madre, usually if I was at home I would try my hardest to get out of this horrifying situation, but there was no way out so I decided to deal with it hahaha even though I was terrified plus it had to be in spanish cause I'm in the DR an nobody speaks english haha. Since he texted us Friday afternoon we only had 1 hour of personal study and 1 hour during lunch to prepare. Ayayay, well lets just say it all worked out in the long run and when we trust in God, follow his spirit and His plan, all will be ok!

Not going to lie, the work this week was a little rough, most days this week, all of our lessons fell through, including our back up lessons. So we contacted tonssss of people and I'm excited to teach them!! 

It's a blessing that all of our lessons fell through so we could find others who are ready for the restored gospel!

Miracle

We went to teach our friend Nandito, and of course he wasn't there, but as we were yelling through the gate surrounding his house his sister walked out. Her name is Mailenys. She was super friendly and we started talking to her. We learned she has shared with missionaries before and they were elders and has gone to church multiple times and loved it, but then all of a sudden they stopped visiting and she didn't know why. We figured out they took the elders out of the area and put hermanas in the area, so Mailenys got lost in the system. But it was a miracle we found her. We asked her if she wanted to learn with missionaries again and she was quick to reply YES! And then she went into her house and grabbed her Book of Mormon. She's adorable and I'm so excited to get to know her!

I realized this week that God canceled all our plans this day, just so we would come in contact with her, God has a plan bigger than we can see.

Spiritual 

Guys the Book of Mormon is really cool, and the history on how Joseph Smith translated this book is so cool.

I just wanted to bear my testimony that I know Christ loves all of us and that's why we have another testament of Jesus Christ. I know this book teaches us the pure Doctorine of Christ, explains the plan of salvation, and explains clearly what we need to do to have peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come. 

You should all read it everyday because truly if I'm ever feeling discouraged or sad, when I read this book I instantly feel better and can truly feel my Saviors love that he personally has for me.
