Week 34

Hola a todos klk

I hope you are all doing fabulous and btw i love you allllll

I wanted to start my email off saying happy Father's Day to all the amazing fathers out there, thank you for all you do for your families and for your communities. For Father's Day yesterday I was thinking of all the amazing men who have stepped into my life and played a role as dad for me. Happy Father's Day to my dad, my brothers, my incredible grandpa, uncle Roger and uncle Sean, my extended family, the most Christlike neighbors who always are there to help, and everybody else who has ever played the role of a father in my life. But today I decided to focus on my Heavenly Father, the father of us all. He truly loves us more than we will ever know and I'm so grateful to feel His love everyday. I truly know that He knows us each individually, even more than we know ourselves, He knows best how to help us. All we need to do is trust in Him and His plan.

My week

Some fun quick highlights.

We left the house and a bird literally pooped on my white shirt.

The tigres or in other words the street boys got 2 chickens and made a boxing rink in the middle of the street and put the chickens in it, and watched them fight till the death.

We were walking home in the dark, next to a river filled with trash and toxic chemicals or something like that, and a dog jumped out of no where and started barking at me and I almost fell into the river.

We were going to teach one of our friends, and there is only one road to her house, but in the middle of the street someone decided to have church, there was loud music, a preacher, and people everywhere saying amen. Well, we needed to get to our lesson so we walked right through their worship, quite an interesting experience.
Did I mention in the DR there is litterally a church on every corner, I'm not even kidding.

When I say my prayers at night, I start to slip away from my bed because it's reallllly hot here.

We found a crab in a bucket.

God answers even the silly little prayers, He hears each and every one. He will answer in His own time and in His own way because He is all knowing, we just need to be ready to receive it!

Our recent convert Michel, she came to a few lessons with us, and she doesn't speak much spanish, but she bore her testimony about prayer, and church, and Joseph Smith with such power. Then in church on Sunday, one of the people who she taught with us walked into sacrement meeting, she looked at me and was just glowing full of joy, it was beautiful to see how much joy she had because of missionary work.
I encourage all of you to work with the missionaries in your ward, you are helping them, other people, and I promise you will feel so much joy like my bestie Michel!

This week I have a question, in Alma 40: 23 it says when we are resurrected we will have a perfect body, everything restored to its perfect frame, not even a hair on our heads will be missing. Well, Jesus Christ was resurrected but he has the marks in his hands and his feet when he died for us. If someone has the answer or a theory or wants to talk more about it let me know!!

I love you all so much, keep living it up for me and send me pictures and emails, have the best week ever and remember to put God first!
