Week 39

HEY EVERYONE!!!
How are you all doing??!?!
Out of Puerto Plata, onto Villa Olga!!
I'm so grateful for all the friends and memories I made in Puerto Plata, it was SO hard to leave but I'm so excited for this next areaaaaa!!!

We had transfers this week, on Wednesday night we were sitting in our house at 9:45 waiting for the news and mine came in, I quickly, nervously, and excitedly scrolled to the bottom to see where I was going and with who. I read " Villa Olga with Hermana Díaz" I was lowkey so disappointed because Villa oOga is soooo rich so the work is slow, I heard the members aren't great, and I have only spoken spanish for the past 12 weeks, I was expecting a break haha, I was a little sad, confused and frustrated. I prayed for comfort and then went to bed. I woke up the next morning feeling alright. But the second I got to Villa Olga with Hermana Díaz, I immediately knew and felt comforted that this was God's plan for me. So far the members have been so welcoming, my comp is so positive and happy all the time, I'm learning so much spanish, this area is SO rich but I'm so excited for this challenge!!! I know God has a plan for me and for each and everyone of us and His plan is perfect! He's the most magical creator and His plan is designed perfectly for us. I literally can't comprehend how powerful and wise He is, I love God!!!!

I love the mission holy cow
Why is everything so joyful, don't get me wrong, it's so hard at times but GOSH its joyful

Some highlights, but not, all because there are WAY too many

Leaving with gringos
There is an hefy group here building a school in Villa Olga, they came to our ward and their leader is rooming with someone I know from high-school! The world is so small, but he told me that we are going on splits with some of the teenagers. So on Sunday around 4 we left with a group of 4 teenagers and went to teach some lessons. None of these kids speak any spanish but they all have such sweet spirits and when we went to our lessons we wanted them to understand what we were talking about and be able to bear their testimonies so they could feel the joy of missionary work, but they didn't speak spanish. I had the opportunity to translate to these teenagers and our friends. I was like a mouthpiece for the Lord. It was the coolest and most spiritual experience I have had my entire mission. I learned so much from these youth and their powerful testimonies and I saw the gift of tongues working, I understood everything and I could translate everything. God really works miracles when we have faith in Him.

Did i cry in lessons because of the spirit this week? absolutely yes

My comp and I teach with authority and together, I love it

Baptism is such a special thing. Such a special symbol and covenant with God. There was a baptism for the elders in Puerto Plata the night before I left and on Saturday night in Vlla Olga, and I luckily got to go to both. They were both so beautiful. Even though its so hot I got goosebumps all down my body as they came up out of the water, looking fresh and pure.
My favorite part is the people getting baptized, they invited their friends and their friends are in their 20s, and they couldn't get closer to the baptism font, they were in awe and it was beautiful. I love baptisms.

I can't explain how many times I got goosbumps all throughout my body during lessons this week, the spirit was so strong.

I actually get kinda cold at night! Maybe I'm just used to Puerto Plata heat but I actually have to sleep with my sheet!

We are living in a house of 4 hermanas and its so fun.

Our apartment has a parking lot and its big enough to run around for 30 minutes every morning, I love running so much!

God's plan is perfect even if we can't see it in that exact moment. God has an eternal perspective.

Spiritual thought
Mark 5: 34
When we were with the teenagers on splits, we asked them to share their favorite scriptures and the cutest girl shared Mark 5: 34
it says "And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague"

It's about when the women was sick from a plague and Jesus walked past her and she had enough faith to reach our and touch Him, she knew if she just reached out and touched Him, she would be healed.
The this sweet girl simply said " I know if I have faith and reach out to Jesus, He will save me"
As I translated that, I started crying, how simple but so true.
I know when we have faith in Christ and reach out to Him, He will literally save us!

I just want to bear my testimony that I know with my whole heart this is Christ's church on the earth. The church is led by the living Christ through prophets who direct us and guide us with love. I know that God has created a perfect plan for us and the center of that plan is Christ and if we simply center our lives around Christ, God will work out the rest.

I hope you all have the best week ever, email me and keep me updated!
Remember to put God first!!
