Week 45

Heyyy! This week was fire and full of work!!!
Being a missionary is so tiring and so hard but its so fullfilling and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.

Some miracles and highlights...
This week I swear everytime I opened my eyes God was throwing a new miracle at us. When we basically whitewashed this area it was so hard, we had nobody progressing. We have prayed and worked really hard and this week we saw the fruits of our efforts. God truly does bless us for putting in effort.
Ok onto the highlights.

This week God helped us pull a whole fam to church. A mom and 3 teenagers!!! They live SO far from the church but they made the sacrifice and came with faith. Afterwards they told us they loved it. It was the greatest miracle ever and I know God is in every detail.
we also pulled 6 recent converts to church so that was incredible.

I ate pineapple for the first time in 10 months and my legs got hives all over them, so apparently I'm now alergic, rip.

We put two people on baptism date this week!!! They are both so incredible. Keep Claribel and Roberto in your prayers, they need them.

I hit my 10 months mark!!!! On the hike down the mountain!!

Last Wednesday night we were walking from one of our lessons to the next and this car passes us and stops and rolls down the window and they say "we were just talking about how we need to turn to Christ to have salvation, you guys are preachers right?" Obviously we said yes and took their number down. So cool, God put us on the right street at the right time.

On Friday night the senior couple in our mission passed us as they were driving home and offered to give us a bola or a free ride, love them so much.

Every animal I came across this week I asked the owner what its name was and literally half of them said they didnt have a name, so I decided to name them Miller, there's Miller the white fluffy puppy, Miller the bird, Miller the cat, every animal you can imagine in the DR is now named Miller.

I've only used one pair of shoes for 10 months and they have really big holes in them, so this week I used my new ones, don't worry!

There was the biggest rainstorm this week. Right when we walked out of a lesson it started downpouring, and we didn't have umbrellas so we were just chilling, walking to our next lessons while everyone hiding in the colmados yelled "no se mojen!" That's what I love about the DR is that Dominicans are scared of rain. But seriously, the roads turned to a river, it was crazy!

Everyone in this area sells cheap clothes out of their house like seriously on every corner. Let's just say my shopping addiction is so bad right now haha.

We hit every single goal we set this week. Such a good feeling to see your hard work pay off.

Everyone thinks I look look Eve hahaha.

We passed by a man selling watermelon out of his truck and it was so red and so juicy.  I wanted it so bad but I left the house with 0 pesos. The watermelon was literally 25 cents and I didnt even have that on me. I told the watermelon man I will come back another time and buy it.  Then the kindest man out of nowhere bought it for me. And on our walk home from church we passed a man at his fruit stand ans he gave us free bananas. It was a fruity kinda week.

Everyone keep our friends
Claribel
Gabriel
Roberto
Yissel
Frante
in your prayers, they are all wonderful and they need all the help they can get!!! Thanks I love you all.

Spiritual Thought
2 nephi 6:7
"and thou shalt know that I am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me."
I was thinking about all the people who were waiting for the Savior, Christ to come. It had been prophesied to them since the beginning that Christ would come to be their Savior. During their times of waiting for Him they passed through all types of trials and struggles, but those who stayed faithful and waited for Christ, surely weren't ashamed. I like to imagine when Christ appeared to the nephites after his resurrection that they were the most joyful they had ever been and the happiest they had ever felt.
It's the same today. We all pass through hard times, have trials we don't think we can ever overcome, thinking "how am I ever going to get through this?" But we can look to Christ, We can turn to Christ and He will make us whole. We will not be ashamed as we turn to Him.

Have a great week and good luck with school! God loves you and I love you as well and remember to put God first <3
