Week 46

Hola hola cómo están?


Hey hey how's everyone doing?
I hope you are all doing so so good and I just want you to all know I miss you so much!


This week was so speedy! 
And not anything really special happened.
It definitely was a little bit of a harder week but with God anythings possible.
But I saw a few wonderful miracles.


Uur friend Jenny. She told us she wanted to go to church but she only had money to get to church, not to get back home. But she took a step of faith and God worked out the rest of the details like He always does. 


We had zone conference and it was so so good. The thing that stuck most with me was becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, not just a missionary. We also talked about keeping the end in mind as missionaries and our goal as missionaries is to baptize people who are converted to Jesus Christ. It was a really good conference. Then the senior missionaries made peanut butter bars and they reminded me of my dad, bittersweet.


On Sunday we had stake conference and after a memeber invited our district of 10 missionaries to have lunch at their house. They made 5 pounds of spaghetti and I think the hermano put a whole pound on my plate. But it was so special and we all went around the table bearing our testimonies of Christ and it was so powerful. Bearing my testimony grew my testimony even stronger.


There was this cute elderly lady on her balcony and she had about 50 plants and I wanted to contact her. So what better way than to compliment her plants! Well she invited us up her balcony to take a look, and I ended up buying one and she also gifted me a free one haha but it's so cute! And she accepted a return date! So I'm excited to teach the plant lady!!


Stake conference was so powerful. Our mission president and his wife spoke and they spoke powerfully about members and missionary work. It was SO good.

I started a challenge a few weeks ago, to finish the Book of Mormon before the new year and I can't seem to put that book down. It's so good. I've read the Book of Mormon a few times and this week I found so many good scriptures I feel like I've never even read before. 
My favorite from this week
2 Nephi 26: 28 
"Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they should not partake of his goodness? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but all men are privileged the one like unto the other, and none are forbidden."
He invites all, He loves us. Go to Christ and partake of his goodness.


Have the best week ever and remember to put God first!!

Heyyy!!! Im loving life here in the DR! SO MUCH FUN!!!! this week was crazyyy!!!  This week we had exchanges! On Friday morning the Hermana leaders came to our apartment and picked me up and I said bye to my companion for 24 hours! The hermana leaders are a threesome so it was me, Hermana Dominguez, and Hermana Torrez. We headed to their apartment in a different area of Santiago but it was only about 20 minutes from my area. We had lunch (Hermana Torrez can COOK!!!) we did companion study, then headed out for the day! Their area was popey (rich) haha! It was beautiful, flowers everywhere!! But the people weren't as friendly. But we got ice cream from BON for dinner and it was good but not as good as my mom and grandpa's homemade ice cream!! The next day I headed back home and I missed my companion! I love my area so much and my comp so much!  We have been speaking only Spanish in the streets and I think it's been helping me a ton! Week 9

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Hows everyone doing?? On December 12th I got to the DR! It was a long day of travel but we made it! We flew from Mexico to Florida then from Florida to the DR! We got on our second flight to Santiago and the plane was full of natives. I tried to talk to this cute old man sitting next to me but I swear he wasn't speaking Spanish hahaha. That's when I knew I was in for a wild ride.  We got to Santiago and went to President Bretóns house! We spent the night there and in the morning they had a Dominican breakfast ready for us! It was really good! Then we headed to the mission office and had orientation. Then we got to meet our companions! My comp is so awesome! Her name is Hermana Lowry! She's been out in the field for almost 16 months! She's an incredible missionary and I love her!! We headed to our area and I'm in Bella Vista!  The people here are so awesome!  We mostly teach kids and women! The kids absolutely love to hear the gospel!  Since I'm ...
