Week 49

Hey! Happy spooky season everyone!
So can we talk about conference?? It was incredible right??
Everyone send me your favorite talk and why you loved it!!

This week was so fast and it was the last week of the transfer! We recieve transfer news on Wednesday nightttt so we will see what happens!

Our ward went to the temple last Saturday and they offered to pick us up some Book of Mormons since our mission has zero so I went on a splurge of personal money and bought like 15, but I think it was for a good cause.

On Tuesday our apartment lost electricity so we took a trip to the church to take our meat and put it in the freezer, because the last time we did not think of that and boy did we regret it. The last time we had raw chicken alllll over our freezer, it was horrible to say the least. So this time we planned ahead, grabbed all our meat, cheese, and that's it because dairy here doesn't go bad when it's warm. So we walked all our food over to the church and ate from the church for 2 days straight but it's the mission life.

We had a lesson with our friend Anet. We taught her the restoration and the Book of Mormon and gave her her own. She was so happy and had the grandest smile I had ever seen. She then asked us to take a picture so she could send it to her friend who is a member. Everyone keep her in your prayers that this Sunday she will be able to make it to church.

We also had a lesson with Samantha, he's our Buddhist friend from India. We went with the senior couple missionaries who are in this mission and it was the most spirit led lesson and the most spiritually filled lesson I have ever had. We talked a little about everything. Elder nichols said something about baptism to him and he said "what's baptism?" (he literally has no Christian background or knowledge) so to help him understand and be able to visualize what a baptism is we showed him the video of Christ being baptized and it was just so beautiful. At the end of the lesson we invited him to pray and he instantly agreed.  And guys when he prayed it was the coolest thing ever.  We then left him with his own Book of Mormon and he said "of course I'll read it!!!" everyone keep him in your prayers!

A few weeks ago we were contacting and we met this guy, Julio Antonio. we went to teach him the other day and he said "oh yeah I'm actually a member of your church" then continued to show us pictures of his baptism with the missionaries. He went inactive about 30 years ago and he lost his Book of Mormon. Good thing we just got restocked and set him up! He was so excited and watched  general conference. Such a cool man, everyone keep him in your prayers as well.

This week we worked a lot with the Book of Mormon and I am just so grateful for this amazing book of scripture.

General Conference
In general conference. I'm not even kidding, I loved every talk for a different reason but there were 3 and they all talked about similar things. The first talk was by Elder Dallin H Oaks and something he said that really called my attention, he said "what a crucial nanosecond it is here in earth" and then in the talk by sister Tamara W Runia was about seeing life through an eternal lense and then our beloved Prophet Russell M Nelson talked about thinking celestial. I loved these three talks, they opened my eyes. Sometimes when we are overwhelmed, annoyed, frustrated or are focused on the things of the world we lose our focus, our eternal focus. But something simple I learned is that I need to zoom out. See the greater picture. See God's plan in full view and think "where is this decision going to take me eternally?" because everything we do, everything decision we make will have an effect on our eternal destination. Everything we do needs to be focused on the end goal. Eternal life and exaltation. Do the things you need to do and focus on the the things you need to to get you there.

I love you all and shoot me an email
Have a great week and remember to put God first because He always put you first
