Week 53
Hellooo! I hope you all had a great week!
I hit one year this week! It has been the most incredible year of my whole life. I've grown so much and I've learned so much. I wouldn't take this year back for anything. I am so excited for what the next 6 months hold!
Oh my goodness this week was so incredible with so many miracles and it absolutely flew by.
On Saturday it was National Service Day for the church so we went and cleansed a park with our ward and it was so much fun, it reminded me of doing yard work at home and believe it or not, I miss doing yard chores. haha
It rained a ton this week, it's officially rainy season and I am loving it! During one of the rainstorms my comp was wearing these shoes that she didn't want to get wet, so she took them off and walked barefoot in the street hahaha, she is crazy.
We were finding in apartment buildings and by a miracle we got into this nice residential. We went up to the top floor and started knocking and after about 15 doors, once we made our way to the bottom, nobody opened the door for us and they ended up saying some not very nice things haha but we left a note with a scripture and our number on every door and headed out of the apartment building. Well to get into the residential you need to have a code or someone needs to beep you in and by a miracle someone beeped us in. Well... it's the same to get out. And after everyone in the apartment building rejected us we were not quite sure how to get out hahaha. So we were locked in for a while until someone entered the gate and we could leave.
We put a couple on date, Brittany and Juan.
We had an amazing lesson about baptism and read the account of Jesus being baptized. Then both my comp and I had the strongest feeling to invite them to be baptized and they happily accepted for the 18 of November!!
Our friend Jenny has been struggling to know if she should be baptized. We invited her to pray but it just seemed like her answer wasn't coming. On Tuesday we walked up 4 flights of stairs to her apartment building and ran into her on level 3 as she was just leaving. She told us she recieved her answer and she is ready to be baptized the 4th of November! We need all the prayers we can get to prepare her for her baptism this weekend. But if not this weekend next weekend for sure!
We found the cutest family. A couple, 4 girls, and a little boy. We shared with them on Saturday and everyone was tuned in. At the beginning of the lesson everyone was just relaxed on their couch. Then by the end of the lesson everyone was leaning at the edge of their seat. We talked about baptism and they were all like "we were already baptized when we were babies in the Catholic chuch" so we read in Moroni 8. And they were like "so our baptism isn't valid? Can we get baptized again?" Shout out to Mormon for that fire chapter.
then get this!!!!
THEY CAME TO CHURCH!!!! Their dad couldn't come this week but the mom, daughters and son came to church and the members absolutely loved them.
We are going to try to put them all on date this week so keep them in your prayers!!

prayer
I've been focusing a lot on prayer. It's something so special.
Usually when we pray alone we pray inside our head, we don't pray out loud. And sometimes it feels like you aren't really talking to someone and sometimes your thoughts wander.
I've started to pray out loud and I feel like I am speaking to someone and someone is truly listening.
I invite you to pray out loud, you will feel like you are having a conversation with God and that He is listening to you.
Matthew 6:6
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly"
I love you all have the greatest week ever! Send me emails, send me pictures <3
Have a great week and remember to put God first
