Week 60
i can't even with this week
it was absolutely insane
a bunch of missionaries are being sent home 2 weeks before this transfer ends so they can be with their families for Christmas.
so there was a huge emergency transfer
and I was a part of it
Wednesday night, we got home from a successful day in the field and were just winding down for the night and then the assistants called us
they explained that Thursday morning Hermana Paul would be leaving the area and I would be receiving Hermana Frizzell!
Hermana Paul packed until 11:30pm and we were up and out of the house at 5:45am.
We drove to La Vega and picked up my CUTE compy! She's been out for 5 months! I already love her SO much!
God is really putting his trust in my Spanish skills but it's going to be so fun to spend Christmas with her!
She's the first non native comp I've had in about 9 months so we are going to have some serious fun.
BUTTT
our friends are doing SO good
we put 3 new people on date
Wanda and Samira
They are sisters and they are SO ready for the gospel and are so ready to follow their Savior. They set their baptism date for the 30th of December. UGH I love them
Jose Miguel
He is the coolest guy I have ever talked to and is always saying "amen amen" during our lessons and is so excited to be baptized the 30th of December.
And then we have Amberlis from last week. We haven't been able to come in contact with her, everyone keep her in your prayerssss.
On Sunday at about 4 am I woke up to about 100 people riding horses down the road with a big parade float and they were blasting music, our house was shaking and it went on for at least an hour. Very random but there is always something happening in the DR.
We had a Christmas party on Friday.
And our ward KNOWS how to party and dance.
We were asked to sing so that was fun, even though I can't sing.
But it was so fun to see the chapel full and be able to celebrate our Savior!
We have a flimsy key and we got home Thursday night and Hrmn Frizzell put they key in and turned it and it SNAPPED in the door hahaha. We almost had to climb around the edge of our house and jump in through a window but our neighbours pulled through with a pair of plyers.
We had 3 new friends come to church!
Kirsy
José
Mauricio
PRAY FOR THEM

José Miguel
I can't believe Christmas is this week.
Even though it's hard being away from home for the holidays, missing all the traditions, and my family, I'm so grateful I have the opportunity to testify of my Savior during this time. I'm so excited to have Dominican Christmas #2.
Make Christ the center of this Christmas. Because of Him we have everything. Literally everything.
spiritual thought
increasing hope through repentance
Alma 22:16
"if thou desirest this thing, if thou wilt bow down before God, yea, if thou wilt repent of all thy sins, and will bow down before God, and call on his name in faith, believing that ye shall receive, then shalt thou receive the hope which thou desirest"
We can recieve an increase of hope through repentance. When we humble ourselves before God and recognize our weakness, and give Him our weaknesses He will make us stronger. (Ether 12:27) He will bless us with what we desire. He will increase our hope. He will increase our faith. He will increase our charity.
He will increase us in uncomprehendable ways as we turn our lives over to Him.
Have an AMAZING week leading up to Christmas. Send me a message, I would love to hear from you! I LOVE YOU ALL and remember to put God first <3
