Week 61
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week!
This week was super crazy but super amazing!
We had a our Christmas party as a mission! It was so incredible and I learned so much.
President talked a lot about the atonement of Jesus Christ. Something he said that blew my mind was that Christ felt everything that we went through but we still feel some pain. Why is that? So we can use His atonement. So we can rely on Him.
We had an exchange! I got to be with my bestie Hrmn Micheli and show her around my area. It was so much fun and I just love her so much!
Since we has so much going on this week my comp and I were finally back together in our area on Friday and then on Saturday I got sick.
I had a 101.8° fever hahaha but we saw so many miracles from home over the phone on Saturday. It was super efficient since everyone is on vacation. We ended up putting 2 people on date over phone calls! So that was awesome to see God's plan work out perfectly. Maybe I had to be sick for a reason. Everything is part of Gods plan.
We didn't have time on Monday to go food shopping because we had to travel to Santiago at 9 in the morning, so when we finally got back to our area on Friday we ran into a supermarket at 8:50 one night. We grabbed some food and called our taxi, but he wasn't working. So by this time it was 9:15 and we were 15 minutes from home. We have to be at home by 9:30. Well, we put on our muscles, grabbed our groceries and went running home, we were sore the next day but hey! We aren't starving now.
On Sunday we made cinamon rolls! It's a little sad to be away from home over the holidays so we decided it would be fun to do a few of our traditions here! We also had a big giant sleep over as a house in the main room! We moved all pur beds and had a fun slumber party.
On Sunday, none of our friends were home, so we made a Jesus jar. We put slips of paper with Christlike attributes in it, with questions, and with hymns. We went around our area and shared messages of Christ with everyone who would draw a paper out of our Jesus jar. It was so much fun. Everyone wanted to participate. Everyone wanted to celebrate and learn of Christ with us.
what a wonderful time to be a missionary. its my second Christmas as a missionary. last year was hard. i didn't truly understand the purpose of Christmas or understand the importance. but this year, im so grateful to be here sharing the peaceful message of the gospel and that families can be together forever.
Luke 2: 10-11
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Jesus is good tidings and great joy for all people. Today the Savior of the world, for everybody was born.
I love my Savior and I know He lives. I know he changes life's.
Have a great day and cherish this time with your family. I love you all so much! I would love to hear from you! Send me an email or pictures! And remember to put God first :)
