Week 63

Heyy! I hope everyone is doing great and had the best week ever!!

First off, I just want to say congratulations to Boomer and Katie on their engagement. I couldn't be more excited for them, and I couldn't be more excited to have Katie join our family!

This week was SO good. The miracles are uncountable. The work is MOVING. The Lords work is amazing.

We went exploring in a new area one day. The first house we passed there was an 80 year old women sitting on a rocking chair outside of her house. We greeted each other and went on with our journey. But the spirit said, "Go talk to her." we turned right around and went and talked to her. We were just standing and talking to her with our Book of Mormons in our hands, and all of a sudden, she got up and went inside. She comes back out 20 seconds later with a Book of Mormon about 40 years old. She said she found it by the river back quite a while ago. She said she reads it every so often and that she loves it. SO COOL

We found an inactive member a few weeks ago as we walked into a bakery. He worked there and told us he served a mission over 20 years ago. We visited him this week and shared a scripture in his bakery. We shared how we can always come back to Christ no matter how far away we have gone. To end the lesson, we asked him to pray, and he refused, and said it's been too long. But my comp and I just shut our eyes and folded our arms, and eventually, he started. It was the sweetest, most beautiful, most spiritual prayer. It was one of the most spiritual experiences of my life. Us 3 opened our eyes in tears. God wants all of his children to come back to Him.

Our friend Senona, she is 80 years old and lives completely alone in a tiny shack. We visited her and shared the restoration with her. She looked so at peace. To end the lesson, we gave her a hug. But she gave us a HUG. About 20 seconds long each. I love her. Keep her in your prayers.

Church was incredible. We had 4 homies pull up. 2 of our dates.
Our friend Jesús pulled up and texted us to come outside to get him. He gets off his dirtbike and gives us both about 20 oranges. I love Jesús. The Lord has been preparing him. We had a lesson with him about the word of wisdom. He said he gave up alcohol a while ago. But the crazy thing is he said a few months ago he just stopped drinking coffee and switched to juice. God has prepared him!! Keep him in your prayers throughout this week!
We also taught our friend Inocia after church because she lives about an hour away in a car, so it's very hard to visit her. We are so excited for her as well, keep her in your prayers throughout this week.

Yesterday we went to our area that gets realllly dark. There is this very long road with not one light. You can barely see your hand in front of your own face and the brightest thing you can see is the stars through the trees. On Sundays we usually leave later because we have a lot of planning. We felt we needed to go to this area although it's pretty far away. Before we left I had a feeling to take my wallet out of my bag. Then about 10 minutes later my comp had the same feeling to take her wallet out of her bag. And we went on with our night. It was approaching the time to go home. We debated if we should go visit one more person or call it a night. While we were on the corner thinking about what to do, one of our friends, he came up to us and he told us we should head home. So we decided that was a sign from God and headed on our way. We hit the part where all the lights turn off, so we started singing primary hymns. Then a car comes behind us, a kind woman's voice told us to get in, and that this road was dangerous at night. We looked at their faces and it was our friend and his whole family who we had just taught and they gave us a ride out of the darkness. God was protecting us from something. He gave us many signs. I feel so grateful that I have a Loving Heavenly father who is so aware of me and is so protective. He needed us to visit these people in this area, so he provided us a way to get his work done and to be protected.

Spiritual thought

D&C 93: 33-35
We can only recieve a fullness of joy when our spirit and body are connected. In the premortal life we were only a spirit. It was impossible to recieve a fullness of joy. So God made a plan, sent us to earth so we could revieve a body and a fullness of joy. 2 nephi 2:25 we are supposed to have joy. That's what our loving Heavenly Father desires for us. Life is so so hard and sometimes it feels like we can't make it out of the hole we are in. But that is why we have a Savior, Jesus Christ who we can always turn to. When we turn to Christ we can recieve this joy that nobody is able to offer us. Turn to Him.

This week was great! Keep our friends in your prayers, especially Jesus and Inocia as they prepare for baptism this week. I love you all keep killing it! And remember that I love you and God does too! Put him first!!
