Week 66

Another week that just absolutely flew by! It's going by so so fast lately!

It was another week of miracles!

We were having a little bit of a rough day. We were go into our first lesson with the cutest old lady and she has a cat. And to start some conversation we said "oh your cat is pretty" then she just disappeared for a second and then came back with 2 brand new kittens. They were one month old oh my. She insisted to give them to us. We were so close to taking them home oh my

We had interviews with president this week. It was the most illuminating interview I have ever had. I have so much love for President and Hermana Bretón. They are both so wise and I'm so grateful to have them as my mission parents.

We are still working with Wanda and Samira. They are SO cool and have such a desire to learn but it is a struggle to get them to church! Everytime we go over they have their Book of Mormons in their hands and their highlighters opened ready to learn. We had the most incredible lesson on Friday. We read from the Book of Mormon with them and the spirit was so strong. And they were leaning forward in their chairs so invested in the lesson. We invited them to come to church and they were ALL in. After the lesson they were like "you guys are like our other sisters" it was so sweet. Then... Sunday rolls around. We called them to make sure they were awake for church and they never showed up.
Last night we passed by to go teach them. And their door was shut (everyone's doors are always wide open here) we asked their kids who were wandering outside if their mom's were home. They were like "yeah" and walked over to the door with us and tried to get in to tell them we were there but it was locked. They were SO trying to hide from us, anyway so that was sad but gotta just put a smile on your face and laugh.

On Tuesday morning we forgot we had district council and we look at the time and it was 10:28 and it started at 10:30. We booked it to the church and made it there in 8 minutes absolutely sprinting the whole way. After the fact, everyone we passed throughout the week made a comment at us and said "you better start running" haha

Our recent convert Jesus is an angel. I absolutely love him. On Sunday he brought us homemade cheese from his cows. About 3 pounds of it too. It's some of the best cheese I have ever had.

I saw a real life turkey this week. Those things are scary looking.

Our area is blossoming with people who want to be baptized.

Spiritual
I've been studying about Christ and His life. Jesus was compassionate. He loved others with all His heart. His heart was full of so much love and compassion he often times wept. My favorite story I came across was in John 11: 11-46
Mary was heartbroken that Jesus came too late. That her brother Lazaret had already died. It was too late for him to be saved.

"Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him"

Jesus felt what Mary was feeling. It broke him to see her broken. He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. He wept.

Christ has such a deep love for each and everyone of us. He has compassion on us. The Savior of the world knows each and everyone one of us individually. When we cry, He cries with us. Because of our Savior we are never alone.

Becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ means taking upon His name and doing the things that He would do. Being compassionate. Helping and crying with others when they need help.
Do what Jesus would do.

I love you all have the greatest week ever and remember to put God first
