Week 67

Another week down! Only a few more to go! How are you all? Know I'm constantly praying for you and if you need anything, message me, I would love to help!

This week was super fast but the days were super slow. And now it's the last week of the transfer! We have changes so I'll get you updated for what happens next week!

Manuel is on date for this Wednesday. He is SO awesome and readily and happily accepts everything we teach him. When we teach him we end up teaching him, his sister, his neighbors and ALL of his extended family. We had a lesson of 15 people. It was so incredible. Adults participating, children sitting on the ground reverently listing and neighbors walking into the house to hear the word of God. The people here are so humble and reliant on God, its beautiful.

Our friend Raul is on date for this Sunday! He is so so cool and needs all the prayers he can get!

It was fast Sunday. We wanted to make cookies for our recent converts, Jesus and Innocia. On Saturday night we whipped up a batch but realized we wouldn't be able to test taste them. But apparently they were really good because Jesus sent us a video of him eating the 6 cookies we gave him in a span of 1 minute and 30 seconds. The amount of times he said "wow" was uncountable.

We had a lesson this week in english. I can not teach for the life of me in english. So that was weird and humbling experience.

On Friday night we hadn't hit our goal of 5 new people for the day. It was 8pm and God provided. We walked down one road and ran into 5 people who God put in our path and they all happily accepted our message.

It is baseball season in the DR and all the little kids are getting out their stick and bottle caps. We even joined in a game and its is SO impressive that these kids can actually hit a bottle cap with a thin stick, like no wonder all the Dominicans become professional baseball players.

We told our beloved friend Kirsy that we would be having changes and one of us would be leaving. She cried. She told us we are like her daughters.
I'm so grateful for all the amazing people and friends I have made in Jarabacoa and this area will forever have a huge place in my heart.

Please pray for

spiritual thought
matthew 11: 28-30

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soulsFor my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

a scripture of comfort.
a scripture of love.

It was explained that there are 2 oxen on a normal yoke and they distribute the weight evenly to plow the field. but if there is a new baby ox yoked to a stronger ox the stronger ox takes the heavier load.
When we yoke ourselves to Christ, we are the baby ox. He automatically takes the heavy load from us. He does the heavy lifting. He does the hard labor. He makes it easy and light. He bears the heaviness of our load and makes our load not so heavy, but He allows us to share the joy of the labor.
I know when we truly depend and accept Christ's invitation to come unto Him, He will make our burdens bearable and walk with us in this joyous journey.

I love you all so so much and send me an update or send me some pictures! I would love to hear from you! and remember to put God first!
