Week 31

Hola holaaaa Guess what, this week I didn't actually hate spanish! I feel like I can finally kind of speak and get my point across, still can't understand these Dominicans with their crazy island slang but we are learning more everyday!!!  I saw soooo many miracles this week, I saw God's hand so many times. Ok the first miracle, our friend Michel, she had a baptism date for this Saturday, we have been trying to teach her for a whole week but she hasn't been home and her phone hasn't had internet. We hadn't been in contact with her for almost a week, it was Wednesday and her interview for her baptism was Thursday. I turn to my comp and say "let's pray" so I prayed and after the prayer I said "I have faith" then we looked down at the phone and the message sent and Michel responded. We called her and shared, and she was ready for her interview!!!  The next day we took the longgg 45 minutes walk to her house in the blazing sun, and got to her...

Hey heyyy This week was so fast and I learned a tonnnn! Highlights I got to go on a suprise exchange with Hermana Micheli!!! Before the mission we found each other on social media and saw we were going to the same mission, so we met up and went to lunch, then we flew into the mission together, and now we are in the same zone!! Both of our companions are Mexican and allll the new mexicans this week went to Santo Domingo to get their residency, so Hrm Micheli and I got an exchange. Not to be dramatic or anthing but it was the funnest 24 hours of my life, I'm not even kidding, the work was SO fun and teaching was SO fun! We have the same level of spanish, so when one of us didn't know what to say the other one jumped in to save the day, it was perfect! We just complemented each other really well!  I also got to see a different area of Puerto Plata, and it was SO beautiful, it was more up in the mountains and it was gorgeoussss!!! Something kinda crazy, at about 4 in the morning, t...

Heyo heyo a todos! I can't believe how fast this month is flying by, its crazy!!  I hope you are all doing so so so good!! Some highlights from my week!!! One day, we were walking to teach our amazing friend, Michel. She's incredible and is on date for this Saturday, everyone keep her in your prayers! But listen, on our way to her house, a motor taxi drove past us, and its very normal to be cat called here, but this man on his motor drove past us and looked me right in the eyes and said "I LOVE YOU!!" and was full on chomping his words, I burst into laughter for at least 5 minutes hahaha Another thing about motors here, there are so many. Our friend Modle, he was in his interview for his baptism and so we waited outside, and while we were waiting we counted 110 motors in 7 minutes, in a neighborhood!! I decided when I get home, I'm going to buy a motorcycle, sorry mom!!!! 🏍🏍 We had zone conference and when I tell you it's the most fun I've ever had, iIm ...

HEYY EVERYONE!!! How's it goinnnn, I hope you are all living it upppp!!! Some highlights from my week Our friend Arolson was baptized!! He's the coolest 17 year old ever. He's Haitian and doesn't speak much Spanish and doesn't understand much, we always have a translator when we teach him so he can fully understand the material. It's really cool to teach through a translator, you can really feel the gift of tongues and the spirit so stong, it's so cool. Before his baptism we had to fill out his baptism form and when my comp tried to explain to him what we were doing he couldn't understand her, because her native language is spanish, but when I said it he understood.Neither of us speak very good Spanish but we could communicate, it was SO cool to see God working through me.  His baptism was great, we tried to teach him all week to prepare him for his interview on Friday, but we couldn't find him all week, Friday morning we went looking for him and the...

Heyyy everyoneee! I actually feel like I'm melting here. Our fan broke and I had to find a fix for our situation so we decided to take off the front part of the fan, and if you stick your hand near it, bye bye hand.  Also another thing with the heat, our room has no circulation, it's like we are sleeping in a cement block, so we officially put our mattresses in the kitchen and are sleeping there now! This week was good, I went to Santo Domingo to get my residency and I'm officially a Dominican!! We put two amazing lady's on date this week, please pray for Mary and Michael!!  We also have a baptism this week for a teenage boy, his name is Arolson, keep him in your prayers as well!!!  I don't have much time today but I love you all so much, keep me updated and have the best week ever!!!!
