Week 66

Another week that just absolutely flew by! It's going by so so fast lately!  It was another week of miracles! We were having a little bit of a rough day. We were go into our first lesson with the cutest old lady and she has a cat. And to start some conversation we said "oh your cat is pretty" then she just disappeared for a second and then came back with 2 brand new kittens. They were one month old oh my. She insisted to give them to us. We were so close to taking them home oh my We had interviews with president this week. It was the most illuminating interview I have ever had. I have so much love for President and Hermana Bretón. They are both so wise and I'm so grateful to have them as my mission parents.  We are still working with Wanda and Samira. They are SO cool and have such a desire to learn but it is a struggle to get them to church! Everytime we go over they have their Book of Mormons in their hands and their highlighters opened ready to learn. We had the mo...

Long time no see! How's everyone doing??  This week flew by, so so fast and we did so so much The work is picking up over here. We had the baptism of Innocia. It was a perfect baptism, believe it or not. She wanted it to be at 10am. But knowing Dominicans it would start at 11. But everyone was there at 9:55 waiting for Innocia to walk in and she pulled in right at 10. That's a miracle. It was a beautiful service full of the spirit.  Our friend Kirsy, she has come to church 3 times and she told us that she knows it's the true church. We have invited her to be baptised multiple times, but everytime she shuts down the idea and changes the topic. We invited her this week and it was different. Usually she shuts us down but she actually asked "where do you guys do baptisms" it sounds silly and little but it was a big miracle and a big step for her!  On Saturday we invited her to church and she said that she was scared to be in the streets. We were very confused because ...

what a CRAZY week oh my goodness first things first  My favorite person ever, Jesús Augustin Ramirez Ortiz was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday and was confirmed Sunday.  Tman CHANGED my life. He is the greated example of faith and I know without a doubt I was meant to meet this man.  People say missionaries change investigators lives but Jesús changed mine.  I'm not even sure how to explain Saturday. It was a crazy day. Baptism days are always crazy. Things always always, always go wrong. His baptism was quite literally a... disaster. He showed up, a little bit off. He is always SO bright and happy, bishop was 30 minutes late, the 2 speakers and the opening prayer forgot his name and it was all just super duper rushed. After the baptism Jesús immediately left and something was super off. We prayed. Later that night we got home and called him. We asked him how he felt, what he was thinking and he said "it was marvelous"...

Heyy! I hope everyone is doing great and had the best week ever!!  First off, I just want to say congratulations to Boomer and Katie on their engagement. I couldn't be more excited for them, and I couldn't be more excited to have Katie join our family!  This week was SO good. The miracles are uncountable. The work is MOVING. The Lords work is amazing. We went exploring in a new area one day. The first house we passed there was an 80 year old women sitting on a rocking chair outside of her house. We greeted each other and went on with our journey. But the spirit said, "Go talk to her." we turned right around and went and talked to her. We were just standing and talking to her with our Book of Mormons in our hands, and all of a sudden, she got up and went inside. She comes back out 20 seconds later with a Book of Mormon about 40 years old. She said she found it by the river back quite a while ago. She said she reads it every so often and that she loves it. SO COOL We fo...

Happy New Year! I can't believe I was a missionary all of 2023, that year will will definitely hold a very special place in my heart full of memories. So that means I come home this year, what??  Time is flying by. We worked hard this week and saw so many miracles. It was crazy.  We decided to go to an area we have never been to this week. We went exploring. We found 24 people in that area and they all accepted a return date for Tuesday. Every single one of them. When we planned to explore we set a goal to find 5 new people and the Lord expanded our efforts as we followed the spirit. It was a day full of miracles.  Also, when you don't have lessons all day and you just contact you get super tired because you end up just walking from 2 until 9 but the people here are so kind and they all invited us into their home to sit down and share a message. I love the people here, they are so kind.  There is this new group of youth members that moved into our ward a few weeks ag...
